The Academy presents a one-day Election Law program April 25, 2012. The program will present current Ohio statutory election law and an update on Federal and State court decisions affecting Ohio election law Also included are an update of issues relating to Campaign Conduct and Campaign Finance Reporting for Candidates, Political Action Committees and Issue Campaign Committees, and Ohio Elections Commission jurisdiction, Ethics for Attorneys as Elected Officials, Professional Relations of Legal Counsel with County Officials, and the mandatory Substance Abuse section.

The Academy has applied to the Supreme Court of Ohio Office of CLE for 6.5 hours of attorney Continuing Legal Education credits, including one hour each of Ethics and Professsionalism,and one-half hour of Substance Abuse education. The Academy has also applied to the Secretary of State of Ohio for 5.0 hours of Additional Instruction credit for members and directors and deputy directors of Boards of Elections.
